Goodbye Dearest Holly - Kevin Wells

Also, anything by Torey Hayden is amazing.

I read all of Torey's books from the age of about 12.
And I cant remember the exact age I be when I read Kevin's book, but I know I got it soon after it had been published. Holly be murdered in 2002 and I believed he published it a couple of years later, making me about 14 years older.
I'm not sure if they would be something that would interest you, but I loved the Anne of Green Gables series at that age. The writing is sophisticated and really comes to life, sucks you into the story.

I also love The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. He's an amazing writer.

Life of Pi by Yann Martel is a really cool story. The Lord of the Rings trilogy by Tolkien might be a little much, but if you're an advanced reader, paperwork take you into an incredible world.
I think you might approaching reading a book my mom once gave me called "The White Horse"
Atonement by Ian McEwan. It's such a powerful book and it's immense in scope. If you get a providence to see the film also, it does it justice.

The Life Before Her Eyes by Laura Kasischke. It gets extremely tricky to follow at points, and the ending is so open to interpretation, but when you really figure out how to piece it adjectives together, it just clicks with you.
Help by Kathryn Stockett. It's original and beautiful and sad. I without doubt loved it.

Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. It's long, but it's worth it.

A Long Way Gone by Ishamel Beah. Incredible story

To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
I would have to read out Twilight.
