I think the haters are more, shall we say, vehement. I hate Twilight, so I can commiserate. I reflect on the main reason for this is that while fans can gain away with a simple "I really like it," or "Edward is soooo hot!" and blah, blah, blah, the haters feel the involve to justify their opinions and defend their positions. I chew over it can also be irritating for people to constantly encounter Twilight when it so totally offends their sensibilities.

They fail to realize that Bella is a klutzo Mary-Sue with no personality. Since she have no real personality the fans find it confident to place themselves in her shoes. Edward is a pedophile and quite frankly an abusive moron. The books be so poorly written I was horrified.

I meditate the haters and fans can be equally bad. I don't judge those based on what books they like; we all enjoy different opinions and different likes. The haters can be really nasty, recounting people off because they like Twilight.
However, the fan can get a little crazy. Not all of them are, but some of the buff ones take it to the extreme. The ones who freak out if you even point out a flaw in the book.
I wish general public would just stop discussing it. I'm tired of everyone fighting about it on BookFreeFAQ.com. It solves zilch.

Definitely the fans. There are more of them than the haters. if you look up twilight on Google you'll get way more admirer stuff that haters. The fans squash the haters and most will do anything to get what they want. Also, there are more those that just don't care out there than a moment ago plain haters. As a hater, I have stopped trying to argue with people something like the faults of Stephenie Meyers writing, purely because I'm always in the minority and their reply is usually base around.. "But OMG edward iz sooo hot!" Now i just judge everyone in off the record if i see them reading the book. If you need more convincing who is more rabid, go to a twilight movie premier, and decide, those girls are vicious.
