A ask nearly my story....?
i'm writing a story in the 1st person about a man who think he's the witness of a murder but he's really the murderer. i love the idea but i have no idea how to cause that sound realistic? how would the victim be kill? any ideas??

It would have to be an accident or suicide done by himself upon himself.
Perhaps within his schitsophrenic bout, he goes to save the man (himself) that he sees and is trying to lend a hand but ends up killing himself unintentionally and while in his post disappearance, in a spiritual form, he now can see the reality and how he have made a mistake and sees his illness too.
It is really hard to provide advise when we dont know any ideas of where you are going next to it...
But being schitzophrenic is an easy way to do it.. or if he is caught within a temporary time shift where both of himselves are available at once.
What if his twin brother and him are switching bodies accidentally and back again next to no warnings of whats happening? Source(s): Personal experience is priceless.
Years ago i read a young fully developed book like that (can't remember the name, think it be a point horror) but it was brilliant because i didn't guess the story teller was the murderer. In first soul they have full control, so you could write "I drove across town to check on Mary" but omit to tell the reader that you stopped stale to kill Bill on the way. When it comes out in the shutting it sounds plausible.
