Who in reality like Twilight? o.O?
As I peruse the internets, it seems like nobody likes Twilight anymore. I, too, am a Twilight-hater. My feelings is that Twilight is poorly written with no plot, and it overuses words words such as "glower" and "murmur." Bella Swan is incapable of thinking for herself, and Edward is a creepy, controlling pedophile. After all, he watches people sleep. More arguments here: http://www.twilightsucks.com/forum/phpBB…
Well, that's merely my opinion. Please, why do you think Twilight is good? What do you similar to about Edward and Bella? And I ask only fans to answer. The hater's arguments are far more numerous and convincing, so stand up for yourselves fan!

my english teacher say twilight is a disgrace. it's gonna eat ur soul till u get E- for english
Because its better than reading Romeo and Juliet. It's written well and you can really grain like your Bella when you read it. I'm not a really big obsessed fan similar to other people but I do really like them. It's fake and interesting at matching time. Vampires are obviously not real but its cool to see another way of looking at them as save for evil. I really loved the vampire diaries too so Twilight was pretty close.
stupid 10 yr mature girls who donno ****
I own a friend who like Jane Austen and Twilight. I have no idea how that is to say possible. She obviously understands the concept of great writing.
Also, I am a female and I can`t bear Twilight. Please don't insult my judgment like that again. Source(s): English major.
OK i am not a twilight hater but i hate that everyone's all approaching "OMG ITS TWILIGHT!! I LOVE TWILIGHT!" and so on.. for instance i was in the mall the other year and people are all screaming and freaking out just cus one of the smaller number important actors was at hand taking pics and giving autographs(for a ridiculous price too) and the rest of the mall was deserted it was so STUPID!! i expect its not that big a deal...there are definitely better vampire books out within...some people just need to take a life... although at least the twilight epidemic isnt as bad as hannah montana...yucckkk!! ZZZZOoOoMG! ME! i loveee twilighttt!! :) :) :)
TEAM EDWARD!!

i'm KIDDING. lol. sorry i just have to do that. i agree with you.. no one likes twilight anymore. except my stupid 11 year older sister.
First I have to ask you if you own read the books? If so, then perhaps you didn't take the same things out of it that I did.
In the books I did not see Bella as an anti-feminist (which is a popular complaint) rather as someone who be powerful for the simple fact that she put herself on the line. She was strong adequate to trust herself even when the world around her got pretty crazy.
Also, as far as Edward being simply creepy and controlling he is actually moderately a damaged character. He has see his family die off, lived through horrendous times and has simply made himself miserable because of who he was. (Sound relevant? It kind of is, on a much smaller level, for the target audience of teenagers and how frequent are insecure in their own skin.) He finds solace in this girl for she has an unjaded display of the world. Because of his many years of existence he values her and actually puts her on a pedestal because he see her as something so rare and wonderful.
As for the part about Twilight not human being wonderfully written I have to agree with you. At times the word choice could have be more varied but it got the point across and was (to me at least) a pretty epic love story even if you nick out the element of vampires and werewolves. Source(s): analyzing
ok then, i dont necessarily hate twilight, but im not obsessed beside it either. personally i think ku are right.
I am a college-educated professional woman who has read all four books of the series - saga - whatever!
I found them to be exactly what I needed. I read plentifully - sometimes very dry, boring political books, books on finance, etc. Sometimes I read true crime, and/or murder mysteries. But once in a while I want a break and Twilight provided it. It is simply a love story - and while it is true SM tend to repeat herself - she does get the point across.
I think Bella is a very strong competent woman. She is a caregiver, ie, caring for her mother and father, each in a different style. She is open-minded (accepting the claims of the vampires and werewolves). She is intelligent and basically an introvert. And she knows what she desires - she is very sure of her love of Edward, unlike most teenage girls.
Edward - in some ways, is still a minor but a teenager from a very different era. But he has adapted exceptionally well to life of a vampire - almost taking it in stride. But he have maintained his early nineteen hundred morales - something more of us need to look at. He doesn't receive his decisions lightly, although they aren't always the right ones (leaving Bella thinking she will be safe and sound away from him). He has gone 90 some years without loving someone and isn't sure of himself. (at least until the come to an end of New Moon).
As far as him watching her sleep - I found that very endearing. Being a parent - I can watch my daughters sleep for hours - the peace it brings to know that they are out of danger in the arms of slumber - but does that make me a pedophile - No of course not. He loves Bella near a love beyond measure and when you love someone that strong you relish them - even in sleep.
Controlling? - possibly - but he only requirements to keep Bella safe. He knows the danger - particularily from the young werewolves (see the story of Sam and Emily). Creepy? - no (unless you count the fact that he kills animals for their blood). And where on earth do you get he's a pedophile - he is stuck in a 17 yr old body - and when he and Bella marry and give somebody a lift a honeymoon - she is actually older than he is.
And for the haters who call him an abuser - show me anyway within the book that he abuses her.
I love the dynamics - at first Bella seems to need a protector (which at first Edward be reluctant to do) but in the end she is the protector of both her "little nudger" and then of the Cullen people.
PS - April C and cafo227 - loved your answers!
An older Twilight fan!
No one with half a brain. There are better books. *Girls start screaming and say he glitters* lawl
Every female that exists loves Twilight. Every emo does as well.
I'm not generalizing. This is a proven certainty.
I think that it is hilarious that the majority of the people that do not approaching the books cannot spell, obviously not including yourself. I started reading Twilight when it first came out and be not as popular. I enjoyed each book as they came out because respectively one kept me on the edge of my seat and I could relate well next to the characters. I literally felt like I was surrounded by another world as I was reading these books and hours would pass without me realize. This alone screams "amazing" to me because it usually takes time for me to fully read a book. It is also the first set of novels published by Stephenie Meyer and to enjoy this great of a storyline be the beginning of her career is terrific. Many writers go through numerous "flops" until that time they successfully complete a series. The process of the two individuals falling in love is enthralling. If you read closely and interpret the concepts, you see past unambiguous flaws in the characters. The point of the book is that Bella is VERY flawed in many ways, all the same Edward still loves her out of all women regardless. Her flaws further connect her with the audience because no one is unflawed and everyone makes mistakes. The entire concept of the story is mysterious and romantic. Edward is not controlling, as you see he allows Bella to do what she wants because he loves her so much (obviously with the exception of shifting her). He wants more for her than to be a vampire - he wants her to experience life as a run of the mill young adult before he change her world drastically. This furthers Edward's romantic quality. Edward to me is the perfect amount of everything a lot of girls would want contained by a guy. Romantic, Handsome, Intelligent, he cares for her safety, hes just controlling enough to show he cares, he gives her everything she desires, hes there for her, etc. The fact that even though Edward is a vampire, which usually would be game over for most ethnic group, Bella still loves him adds to the romantic factor. Obviously, if you don't like these types of novels, you won't resembling this series. I feel like its a terrific love story mixed with the right amount of performance, suspense, and weird, unsuspected twists.
p.s. I definitely have more than "partly a brain" and I'm obviously not 10 years old.
Me.
Well I similar to the 4 books the movie wasn't the best but Oh well.
