to get polite grades :P
Writing is a form of Art.

Art expresses emotions, it makes sense of the world around you and inwardly you. Writing is no different.

Instead of creating visual pictures, you write to describe those visuals, you write to describe what you imagine, you write to release your emotions.

Writing also help your understanding of penmanship and the language. And it doesn't hurt that it increases your intelligence to some degree when you do it correctly!! =D
I write for many reasons..mostly because I own too! I can't seem to stop myself. I also have a head over heels love for words!
I write because for some reason, that is simply how my brain works. Even i have no means to write, my brain sees everything close to it were a book. For example, if i'm daydreaming about myself riding down a tropical beach on a pure white unicorn, i don't see it. Instead, my brain is narrate "she rode down a tropical on a unicorn of the purest white.."
Get what i mean?
I THINK in stories. For me, writing is a necessity, to get out what's contained by my head.
show off your creative side, put your mind and others in a complete new world.
Good grammer and punctuation make you sound and look smarter. That is why I write.
I started writing as hasty as six years old. I don't like to brag about human being good at it, because I know I am not. But I'm not a shocking writer either.

I stopped writing for a while, because the homework was burdening and I really did not own time to do the things I enjoyed.
But I started writing again because I was stressed and upset with who I be.

I really liked being able to convey my emotion through my art - I'm not much of an drawer/painter, so writing was an easy option.
I loved it - still do. Though in a minute that I am in my final year of schooling, it's going to be really hard to write a page, let along a sentence.

Writing be my escape. I started reading again as well, which got me into the spirit of writing.
Sometimes, the story channeled into a plot that I disliked - I've always needed to be steering the concepts within a story, and writing lets me do that.

I love words.
I am such a word freak - scrabble and boggle are the best board games.
I love the swing and the sway of words, and how they sound when you string a few of them together.
It's resembling beauty to me.

This is why I write.
I write for fun and because I just love doing creative stuff!
writing is similar to a vent for all my emotions and sometimes a way to return with over some of the things that go wrong in life. it help me to see the whole picture and sometimes see the humour and irony in the worst of situations. it has help me understand myself better, because i realize that a lot of my fears and feelings tend to show within my characters. it also helps me understand other people, sometimes ones that i've certain nearly all my life or someone i've just met. writing make me aware of other people's feelings and understand people's actions. i write because i love writing and after so long, it's a part of a set of me. it's like oxygen...
