Did harry massacre voldemort at the shutting down or did voldemort inadvertantly snuff himself?

He inadvertantly kill himself. Harry was the true master/owner of the Elder wand so when Voldemort attempted to cast a killing curse at Harry it rebouned butchery Voldemort.
Voldy, in his ignorance killed the horcrux within Harry in the forrest and in the end kill himself because the curse rebounded. The elder wand in voldy's possession would not kill its own master so it rebound on the one that is not its master. The elder wands allegiance went to Draco within HBP and when Harry took his wand from him in their escape from the manor the allegiance was now Harry's, although Harry didn't know it nonetheless he just needed a wand. So yes he did kill himself but he had not intended to. Hope that help. :)

Harry did not kill him. Because he only used a disarming charm. But Voldemort could not kill Harry next to the elder wand because Harry was the true owner. So when he used avada kadavra it backfired on himself like the first time he tried to butcher Harry. Only this time he had no Horcruxses and so he died.
Well.. Voldemort actually killed himself by accident. When he took Harry's blood, he rebuild his body with Lily's protection and thought that Harry's blood would make him stronger. It didn't. So when Voldemort tries to kill Harry, he can't because he strengthened Lily's protection. So at the finale of Deathly Hallows when he tries to kill Harry, his curse rebounded on him. So it was his own knock he died.
Harry kill him in the end.
