15 year outmoded getting published?

I'm 15 and my passion has always be writing and the arts. I'm a sophmore in high school and I be wondering how hard would it be to get published? I've been playing around beside a story for a while now and it's grown from a story to an obsession to see what happens to my characters.
I'm intrested within seeing if I could get published and how hard it would be considering I'm only 15.
Any suggestion?
Answers:

It's about as likely as you getting select for the Olympics because you enjoy playing around with sports, to be honest.

Most people write give or take a few a million words of fiction before they get to a publishable level. Writing is something that improve with practice. Just like sports. Even talented fifteen year olds almost never bring selected for the Olympics at fifteen - though maybe they will at 22. Same for writers. Start practising; forget publishing.
Age doesn't matter in publishing. Your parents have to sign the book contract for you, is adjectives.

The catch is you HAVE TO WRITE WELL.

There's no reason why you can' be a writer and a psychologist. Most writers have a afternoon job.

To find a publisher:

Go to a bookstore. Find books like yours. Look inside the front pages to take the publishers' websites. Follow their submission guidelines to the letter.

Look up websites of writers with work similar to your own. See if they mention who reps for them. A short polite mail asking if they can recommend an agent is not inconsistent. Do not tell them about your book, that's seen as poor manners.

Obey YOG'S LAW: "Money flows TOWARD the writer."

This money NEVER pay to get published or to enter contests or pay a fee-charging agent. NEVER. Obey Yog's Law and you won't obtain ripped off.

Go to the 808 section of your library which has adjectives the books on writing. They will help you steer clear of the rips.

Writer's Market 2010 will be in the quotation section. It lists all the commercial publishers and what they're looking for.

This site is a SAFE writer's board run by pros. It is free and they can lend a hand you stay clear of the sharks in the publishing pool.

You don't start shopping your book around until you've gotten solid feedback on it first. AW has a Share Your Work forum where other writers can hand over constructive crits.

Feedback, beta readers, polished, and re-polished, a book has to be the best you can make it back you send it out. I thought my first was ready, but two years of rejections and rewrites qualified me better.

(It did sell, I landed a multi-book contract.)

But you can't be in a hurry, or assume you'll draw from paid a fortune. The Brenda Hiatt link below will give you a broad idea about book advances. Always assume you will bring back the lowest number. You'll be the newbie on the block. It takes time to work up to getting the real money.

STAY AWAY FROM PUBLISHAMERICA. They are the BIGGEST ripoff site of them all. They say-so they're free and don't want your money, but that is a LIE. You end up buying overpriced copies of your own book!

They will not put your book into a store--but lie and influence that you are supposed to do that. Most writers submit their book, and whether it is good or horrible, it's quickly "accepted," (they clutch everything!) and then you never hear from the poor writer again. Your rights are tied up for seven years!

Just google "publish America" + "scam" and find all the writers who got ripped past its sell-by date by them. They are what is called a "print mill." you don't want anything to do with them. They ruin lives and careers.

If any publisher or agent advertise on Google, it will only lead to a scammer or a vanity house. A existing publisher or agent doesn't advertise!

Get Strunk and White's ELEMENTS OF STYLE. All writers have that book and use it.

Again--the 808 books at the library will help you on adjectives this!

I don't know what sophmore means, but the chances of getting a book published at the age of 15 are very slim. But maintain practising and trying. Work on your technique and you never know - you may be successful in the future. Best not to set your heart on writing as a career. Most writers start by writing within their spare time while doing another job, and switch to full time writing if successful.
Trying to get a book published at fifteen is difficult. Most books by teens your age probably will probably be passed right over by an editor. They really want to publish populace who are eighteen and up. Look at Christopher Paolini. No one would publish his book until he was eighteen years old-- and it's one of the best sellers for teens!

Right now, adjectives you can do is practice. A great way is by writing fanfiction. A lot of authors find it flattering that young adults, as well as adults, try to morph something they created and conveyance it into something completely new. It encourages them and gives them a unsullied perspective on things.
it's not going to be hard to publish because you're 15 but because you don't know the business and you have no connections.

you'll need to get hold of an agent or a manager who can pitch your book to different publishers but they will take a percentage of your profit.

if you have a really dutiful quality book it shouldn't matter how old you are.
Not that I have a lot of experience, but getting published is unyielding for everyone. I'm pretty sure age has little to nothing to do with it (except that your skills might not be as developed). Go for it, but enjoy a practical career plan. Make sure it's something you can be passionate about. Find a steady assignment, but stick to writing. Maybe one day we'll both be lucky enough to make it our work!
its possible, Gordon Korman wrote his first book when he was 12. It be published when he was 14. Depends on how good a writer you are
