A Sound of Thunder Short Story?
So we read this short story in English before, but I still don't get it. So when he go back in time, he gets startled and runs off the "path" which he was not supposed to do. Well when he gets rear legs, everything is changed because he stepped on a butterfly which altered everything. When he realizes it, he calls Travis ,his tour guide, who's really pissed at him for going of the path. And it ends by saw, "And then there was a nouns of thunder." Well, I thought they went back in time to reverse the butchery of the butterfly, but my teacher said that Travis killed/shot Eckels? How does that help with anything?

From what I can retract, Travis shot Eckels out of pure anger. Eckels had completely altered the future, potentially destroyed it. The point of the story was not to call a halt it so that they fix the solution, but to warn against abuse of technology, since Bradbury, the author, often writes of those theme. Travis wasn't fixing Eckels's mistake, he was furious and took that out on Eckels.
To get his point across, Bradbury had the closing moments very brief and bleak. I felt so sad for Eckels, because he didn't denote to and he was such a sweet man.
