She's secretly gloomy, but is in denial/unaware of it. Remember that she tried suiciding, but doesn't remember it later[unconciously taking more and more pills]. She's living the "ignorance is bliss" way of life. I'm sure you can find 3 reason based on this, I wouldn't want to do your homework for you ~
