Both are good read, but check out a book called The Pearl. It talks about a guy who found a pearl and it be worth a fortune, but in the process he managed to lose everything else in his energy that he held so dear.
Grapes of Wrath - a fantastic read
you mean the least worst they are totally overrated
The Grapes of Wrath, it won the Pulitzer prize for him in 1940, but most of his stories are excellent reads.
I've read Of Mice and Men, The Grapes of Wrath and East of Eden. My favourite is East of Eden.
I enjoy The Pearl but its not everyone's cup of tea
I don't know if it is the best, but I enjoyed Cannery Row.

The Grapes of Wrath is a fantastic book, and i would recommend it to anyone, however you can't turn a blind eye to East of Eden or Of Mice and Men either.
