Descriptive writing on Melbourne?
Hi!
I have to do a descriptive writing piece on Melbourne. I'm a good writer, oncer I've started, but never know how to start things off!
The piece requirements to be about a particular area of Melbourne, or an attraction, shop etc. And it requirements to be from someone's point of view- e.g, a businessman, a small child. etc.
if anyone had any ideas on how i could just start the piece stale (just one or two sentences), and some places I could write about, that'd be great!

How about the return to Melbourne of someone who had be away for decades? How it was when he left and how appalled and sickened he was at adjectives the high rises etc. Just take central Melbourne and own a look at some pre-60s photographs of the area.
I've only ever been to the primary city area of Melbourne, but I would do a businessmans commute in the early morning, describing the trams, buses, and how the city is wake up to a new day. Perhaps you could mention the news stands orifice, blurting out todays headlines, and the wonderful aroma of arabica beans as the cafe's started their grind.
