Are in attendance any books similar to the Host and The Hunger Games?

I just read Catching Fire, the second book to the Hunger Games trilogy. I was curious, are there any books out here as good as it? I also loved the Host by Stephanie Meyer. I like the fact that it's out of the Vampire and Fairy genre. It's getting a bit played out. I already know roughly the Battle Royale. But if you all know about any others, please let me know! TYIA.

You could try the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer x About Vamps xx
I also like Catching Fire and the Hunger games,

I would check out themockingjay.vndv.com

Have you read the Eragon series?
You could try Uglies (and sequels) and the Midnighters trilogy by Scott Westerfeld (urban fantasy/futuristic)

Out of the Wild by Sarah Beth Durst (adventure/fairy narrative re-telling, but no fairies)

Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (fantasy/shapeshifters)

Red Handed and Blacklisted by Gena Showalter (sci-fi)

There are many more, but those are the ones immediately coming to mind that are kind of approaching The Host and Hunger Games.
