This help me out a lot, it has everything you need to know. Weather, crime rate, school, etc.
Find out what local TV stations operate in Seattle. They will have current weather conditions, even radar, sea, and tide conditions.
Use Google Maps "Image" to check out street name and terrain.
I'm writing a book set in London and can take a street level tour of the city using Google Maps! I even found a house on Harley Street to be precise perfect for my characters to live in, and describe it in the book!
I live in Seattle. One thing general public always say about our weather is that it rain all the time. It doesn't. What we do get is a season where it rain a fair bit (mostly drizzle, not downpours usually) and usually stays above freezing from about late October to March or so. We get hold of that instead of the sub zero temps that the MidWest and Northeast get.
Our average winter day is nearly 38 or so degrees. We get snow every five years or so and then everyone freaks out and doesn't know what to do and the city is hopeless at plowing or running the buses. But they speak about everyone that the streets are all plowed and that the buses are all running. Fortunately, as I said, that only happen every 5 or 6 or so years.
In the Summer, we get droughts. People tend to not water very much, to conserve hose, so most neighborhoods have mostly brown lawns.
Our growing season is longer than in some areas of the country (though not as long as California's or the deep South's). So individuals have flowers until well into October and you can see buds on the trees in precipitate mid February.
Our average summer day is maybe about 78 or so degree but every few years we get a heat wave where on earth it hits 100. This past summer was like that. As next to Winter, people didn't really deal with it too okay and stores were sold out of fans and air conditioners. Usually, most summers, we bring back some sprinklings of clumps of days with 85 or 90 degree weather. The upper 90's to hundreds is relatively rare and we can smoothly go years without it.
Fall is gorgeous. Right now,it's something like 40 to 45 degrees out in the a.m. but by afternoon it approaches 60 degrees. Very sunny and crisp. We hold a lot of foliage but mostly Evergreen type trees, so there are some trees with lovely go down foliage, but not as many as you'd see in other parts of the country. But then again, within winter, we have a lot of greenery to look at because of the types of trees we have.
Seattleites tend to catch really picky about the weather. Maybe because there are a lot of ex Californians here. So you'll see ethnic group with down coats and gloves and scarfs the minute it hits 50 degrees.
We also get like mad of moss on our lawns and even walkways due to the frequent drizzle in the late fall/winter and untimely Spring.
cloudy
average highs at 60's lows in 40's
hope i helped somewhat
