What is a better track to self publish a book?
(When I say better, I mean which would sell more copies.)
PDF sold online?
Paying for physical copies to be made?
Answers:
I think the demand for buying pdf's from a chance website are fairly low. You could consider a Kindle book. It's a more limited market than print bits and pieces, but a growing digital option.
I'm happy I offered mine in print form.
As mentioned contained by a prior post, the average self-published print book may only sell 40 copies to friends. However, the "average" self-published author is using a vanity press, and not putting much force into the book itself or the marketing. That's not at all representative of the more serious self published authors I've known.
Publishing companies now have adjectives the resources to publish books with the same productivity and efficacy as that of regular black and white books you see in physical bookstores. Considering the certainty that most books are in full color, you should choose a publishing company whose book’s are of the highest quality, handrail none.
The difference with self-publishing is that you happen to send surrounded by your materials to the publisher and they will do all the work for you depending on which program you are on. Publishing packages are very affordable and investing on getting your book published is a good start. It is best if you dispatch in the entire manuscript and should not worry about protection because publishers own an agreement to not use your material without your consent.
I hope I've helped :) Good luck! Source(s): How to seize started with publishing:

A physical book might vend more copies if you have major backing but you will receive alot less profit per book. The internet has really put a hole in the publishing industrys pocket. I enjoy paid as much as 97 bucks for digital books in the marketing industry and 67 in the robustness industry. After paypal or your merchant takes the fees you are still left with in the order of 97.5 to 98.% which leaves you alot of playroom for advertising and press releases.
Sell it online, list it in Amazon, on Ebay (If you document on Ebay don't make the mistake of letting people bid on it, just deal in it for what the going price is, do not under value your own work.). Submit it to every directory you can find and use the paid ones too. Use press releases, if it is within your budget you can even pay for small spots on the major home pages that your press releases couldn't catch you on. Next you hit forums and blogs and make casual comments on the new book you simply read and then point them to where they can download the free leaked chapter. Hey BookFreeFAQ.com would be a great place for that, connotation, hint. Anyways, this would be the chapter that is given away for free with a relationship in it to get the book now should they approaching it. The other way to do it is to let them download the whole book for free but after they read approaching the first 10 or 20 pages they find the rest of the book is locked and if they are hooked they will click the link and buy your book.
If you need someone to do the ebook near a lock or graphics I can point you in the right direction. I really hope this helps, any questions lately email me, my address is reachable through my profile. Just add me to your contacts.
What ever it is you are writing don't be intimidated by marketing, the internet has really made it anyones game so move about for it.
Cheers, and best of luck with your writing.
The average number of copies sold of self-published books is about 40. By any method. Almost adjectives of them are bought by the author and their family and friends.
If you want to sell lots of copies, you need to find a traditional publisher. If you purely want to share your work, I'd put it online for free, probably on an existing archive site.

Yup, I've seen people do that. I've gone past its sell-by date, read the chapter, and answered the question honestly, too. It probably wasn't the resounding advertising coup they were expecting. Tell individuals how wonderful something is when it's complete tripe and a) it's obvious you are in fact the author, and b) you a moment ago look thick.
