There had been a rape. The pregnant target and her unborn child dies. Her brother tries to defend her. Her husband already died, having worked to death by the Marquis, for not giving him his wife posterior.
Her sister was sent away, hidden from the marquis. Oh, and her father also dies, from a broken heart.
Dr Manette is imprisoned for trying to report the rape to the athorities.
