Why don't any ending surprise me anymore?

like, well I used to get surprised a great deal before but it feels like i know adjectives the endings in-out now. Most of the time, the ending will click half-way through the book. How do I stop this from up?

If you're sticking to one genre, then you need to seize out of it and try something else. Still, there really isn't anything new under the sun when it comes to the ways that books lapse. Read things where you enjoy the story so much that the end doesn't event, it's the journey to get there that counts.
There are two reasons endings become predictable.

One, you're choosing poorly, probably authors whose work is formulaic, so that once the underlying set-up is complete and the chain of events begins, it's obvious how everything have to play out. The fix is to read reviews and find better books. (Try "Shutter Island" if you like mystery. I guarantee you will not foresee the ending.)

Two, you're reading contained by a genre which has a required specific ending. Romance, for instance, pretty much requires HOA--happily ever after, or the implication that's how things will be. Thrillers require the doomed to failure guy be stopped. Sports books require triumph against great odds.
well most books these days have ecstatic endings. i think that you should read suspense books. for example read the lost symbol. you would see the ending coming promise.
as someone else said, you inevitability to branch out with the genre of books you are reading, or a completely different author. please read my prologue (you can tell me what you think the end will be :P)
