I Need Advice on my book?

I have a book I want to write, but the hardest part is starting the first chapter. I want it to take place surrounded by the government, or even an attack. I'm just so stuck. . .
Answers:
Whenever I write books, short stories, or any work off fiction, I personally like to start next to a dialogue. It gets me thinking and gets the juices flowing. Every new-fangled has a rough draft, the important thing is that you carry your thoughts on paper as soon as you think them. Then you can expand your description, "explode" sentences, and rearrange the rag in the most effective way.
There is no rule that says you enjoy to write the book in order. If you have a clear conception on any portion of your story- start there. After you have that on paper, you can other go back and write the beginning- you may have a better belief where you are going as well as knowing which details are relevant.

My son showed me a diagram he uses in conservatory for wring a story- draw a line- like the hill of a roller coaster with the blossoming about 3/4 over to the right. that is the climax of the story- the last 1/4 (or less) is the resolution.
The largest portion of the book is the rising goings-on or development of the conflict. Don't forget about subplots too- all moral books have one.

good luck and take charge!
Many writers use a outline.
Beginning...middle and end.
infer about what the story really is about. You could start with some milieu information on the main character, something that will impact the rest of the story, why he/she will do what they will do.
People say, "How can you not start a story?"
Well...it can be a bit hard! You have an idea surrounded by your head how the story will go..but how to start it? That can drive you bonkers at times!
I would just sit down and start writing what ever is within you mind about the story. After awhile, you can see if the beginning is how you want it. many writers do not save their stories as first written..many re- writes later is the true book.
I have one very soon that the beginning sucks, but its there and I can work on the rest. When done with the integral project, i can go back and rewrite the beginning. Because after writing the in one piece story, sometimes the beginning changes a bit.
sometimes its best to start somewhere else surrounded by your book (or even just somewhere else in the chapter) rather than the formation if you already have an idea sparked up in your go before.

its kind of like when teachers push for you to think of a title AFTER youve written the story; write the beginning later on instead of first. hope i help Source(s): skool... hey wow its actually useful wtf?!?!?! mwahz
I honestly love the begginings that start with words, you know.
For example, on your story you could start near:
"FEAR.DARK.DESTRUCTION.LOSS. where the first words that came to my mind that day. Suddenly, I begin to feel these strange feeling inside, which was full of spasm and a voice screaming: "CRY!!" "
wow, can't believe i just made that up myself. haha xD
good luck.
