Can someone please back me near this short story closing moments?

okay, so the story is about a scientist form the year 1950 who invents a time machine and has the dexterity to travel to any time period. she decides to travel to the year 2012 and discovers that a meteor is going to hit earth due to worldwide warming or something. what do you think is a possible conclusion??

it could be anything at all. resembling, her time machine breaks and she has no chance of relating anyone, or she goes back and tells the world roughly global warming. ughhh! im stuck and really need a conclusion.

any answers will be greatly appreciated!
Answers:
well, firstly, global warm due to humans is neither a problem nor true. not to be picky, though. good luck!
I think the scientist should try to run back to her time and warn everyone what going to happen within the future. But the people won't listen to her, and she somehow gets stuck within her original time again and she continues to age. When 2012 is about to happen she tries to tip off everyone, but nobody listens to her and when the meteor hits the earth she should die saying something really shrewd and everyone realizes she was right. But they are too late and everyone face your doom. Hope I helped
Well I suppose she should just accept that this is what will happen and step forward a couple more years and see how much damage has been done.Even if she does give an account every one in the past what will happen she is messing next to fate.
Good Luck in finishing.=)
