A grill something like Alice surrounded by Wonderland?

I read the book and Lewis Carol's name was on the cover, it was purely a nice normal copy but I heard a rumor there be a darker version by the same author but I've looked everywhere and can't find any trace of one. So is it purely a myth or is there a darker version?
Answers:
There is no other variation of Alice. Just "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the looking glass". While I don't think the story is about drugs as much as some empire say, it is quite dark. There are pretty a few references to Alice dying. Source(s): Having read the books, and biographies of "Lewis Carroll".
I don't think that there is a dark version, but the book does have hidden dimness if you know what i mean? You can read the book and think it is a light and fun, but if you read into it more you can see that it is in truth quite twisted and dark.

For example, people enunciate that the entire storyline is based on drugs and the effects that it they have on you - Alice eating the mushroom etc.

Also, 'going down the rabbit hole' is a adjectives metaphor for taking drugs - Alice goes down a rabbit hole in the book.

Take a look at the link below, it may explain it better than i can!

As far as I remember in that wasn't a darker version. Unless you're thinking of "Through The Looking Glass" which is the sequel. It is a little dark as it is the opposite of "Alice In Wonderland".

There are so many myths and legends surrounding not only accounts but Carroll as well that it's hard to tell sometimes what's true and what's not. I suggest in recent times doing some research on him. His story is really interesting as is how the idea for the book came about (there's a genuine Alice).

Hope that helps.
