These guys write some of the best historical fiction books i can find. Both have written books on atlantis (how i found out about them!) and other books on things like excaliber and hercules. Modern sunshine indiana jones type stuff
These are all historical romance and they almost all pinch place in Scotland and England, I think one takes place surrounded by France and Normandy. I don't know any books like you wants, but here are some very amazing one that I love.
