Does anybody own any suggestions for a really apposite book series to read?

I have already read the Harry Potter series, the Twilight series, the Uglies series, and the Mortal Instruments series. Those are the kinds of books i really love and can actually sit down and read. I would love to find some other books similar to that! Suggestions please!! :)
Answers:

gregor the overlander series?- suzanne collins

wake and fade and gone- lisa mcmann (gones not out yet til close to feb)
hope i helped(:
Well, there's always the Chronicles of Narnia and the Lord of the Rings series, in need which none of the books you named would likely exist. I can also recommend Ender's Game, which can be read alone but is the first within a very long (and very good) series of books. For something a little smaller number intense but still thoughtful and insightful, try Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and its subsequent books-- I got all 5 in a particularly nice leatherbound edition for $20 at Barnes and Noble. Source(s): I read a lot
I'd also suggest the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. It starts with The Golden Compass.
The Belgariad series by David Eddings Magic, a classic good vs evil story, epic battles, and incredible characters.

You may also be ready to read the Lord of the Rings saga, start near the Hobbit.
Isabel Allende's series is really good. I'm on the second book, and it's really well written.
First is City of the Beasts
Second is Kingdom of the Golden Dragon
Third is Forest of the Pygmies

It's a Trilogy, but they're correct, long books.
the vampire academy books are really good.
the first book at first seems kinda lame but after i got into it i couldnt put them down.
another really well-mannered book is the host, even though its not a series
i love these questions!! seriously, giving book suggestions is my favorite thing to do. i have some of the compassionate you requested, and some others in case you want to branch out....
