Extremely dismal and violent(violent is necessary) book.?
i mean like i will be shocked by how sad the book is. No romance novel please, and please give a little description on what the book is about.
P.S. I WANT REALLY SAD AND HORRIFYING!!
Answers:
"Jude the Obscure" by Thomas Hardy.
Incredibly grim, even by Hardy standards. Consider yourself warned.
Hmmm...
The individual things that come to mind are...
-Unwind by: Neal Shusterman (violent, and pretty upsetting in a way. Makes you think around people and the way we act.)
-When the Wind Blows and The Lake House by: James Patterson (both totally violent and disturbingly sad at parts.)

As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner.
Hmmm the first article to comes to mind is Steven King. Maybe you can try his books? =)
Let the right one contained by.
Absolutely horrifying at times and plenty sad.
It's about the budding relationship between Oskar, the school target and the babyish girl who moves in next door with her supposed father, contained by 1980's Sweden. The young girl is in fact a vampire and the 'father' is a pedophile collecting blood to nurture her, in order to keep her alive surrounded by return for the obvious.
I can't give anymore away without ruining the story but it truly is a tour de force, my synopsis doesn't give it any of the credit it deserves.
Edit: I think I need to point out this book is the furthest article from twilight. It's truely horrorific at times, and is not aimed at a young-adult audience. I don't think that came across in what I wrote above.
