Hope overshadows despair. Anne Frank was an optimist throughout her short life. She knew almost the atrocities of the time and the danger that awaited her and her family should their hiding place be found, even so she continued to hope and to look forward to the future. Despite her circumstances, Anne did not fall into a depression and tried to look for the good somewhere possible.
