Does anyone know the title or author of this 90's SciFi/fantasy book.?
The book is set in a post apocalypse world where technology is outlawed. It is monarchistic system of government (Kings and Queens) surrounded by which the main character is one of the Princes. Although he is the youngest of the princes he is chosen within the church by the 'gods'. This next turns out to be a holographic projector that the abbots or clergymen used to direct how the rule was passed from person to person. He travels across a hot waste to a different kingdom in which the people in attendance still use some technology. After spending time with them he then travels back to conquer the productive kingdom of his with guns. He ended up slaughtering lots in the original kingdom because they still held to the knight, shield, and horse code and did not use guns.
This be a great book. I remember reading it several times over. If I recall correctly it is actually a 3 book trilogy. No matter how much I hold tried I am unable to find out what the title or who the author was.
