E-Reader Devices. Which one is more worth it?

I'm thinking about getting a Ereader.
Do you recommend Amazon's Kindle, B&N's Nook, or Sony's e-reader?
Answers:
I like the Kindle.

Look for whether or not it's using "Digital Ink". Unlike LCD displays, a "Digital Ink" display only uses power to revision something on the display, this means that it's not using any power while you're reading the page, it only uses power when you turn the page.

What I don't like something like the Kindle is that Amazon can revoke your purchase of a book at anytime so buying a book doesn't necessarily mean you get to keep it. They can remove the book from your digital archive and repayment you the money that you paid for the book.
From what I've been reading nearly the Nook, it sure sounds like it sits at the top of that list. The Nook hasn't even been released even so (although you can pre-pay now) so it has had more time to surpass the sony reader/kindle specs. The biggest advantages the Nook has is the customization, 1,000,000+ book inspection, ability to share eBooks with friends/family for free, and color screen beside settings to negate glare. I own the Kindle 2. If you ask me to choose again now, I'll still go for the Kindle instead of the Nook or Sony Reader, because I muse the web browsing function is rather important. The free internet (and immediately it is free international internet) plus the web browser allow me to look for information whenever I'm in need. It is really a cool fact that cannot be missed. And right now it is free for both the U.S. and many other countries, it is just incredible when you bring it to trip.

I remember I read this review when I settled to get my Kindle:

Hope this helps :)
Don't get Sony Reader. It doesn't have righteous content support. You'll find it more difficult and expensive to get books on the reader...

Between the Barnes and Noble Nook and the Amazon Kindle. From the official page of B&N, here is how the Nook compares with the Kindle:

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nook/compa…

Since Barnes and Noble page is individual mentioning the advantage of the Nook over the Kindle, let me try to tell more going on for the benefit of the Kindle 2 over the Nook:

- There is no internet browser for the Nook. So even with Wi-Fi, you can only use it to purchase book. You cannot do searching within Google, Wikipedia, check email, etc., like what you can do with the Kindle.

- The Amazon Kindle has international free 3G wireless which covers over 100 countries. So even if you're surrounded by places like the UK or Australia, you can access the internet with the Kindle free of charge. The Nook has wireless solitary within the U.S., and is limited for use of buying books only

- The Kindle is available outside the U.S. (it ships to 176 countries), while the Nook simply ship within the U.S. at this moment.

- The Kindle has text-to-speech function, so it can treat an ebook like audio book. This function is missing on the Nook.

- Amazon is already doing some change after the Nook is announced (still more than one month for it to be available). They dropped the price of their International Kindle even further. And they are going to release a PC software which can read their Kindle books.

One more thing to be aware is that, at first glance you may infer the Nook can read ebooks with color touch screen. But indeed the color touch screen is merely a small screen beneath the greyscale eink screen, and seems it is solitary used to browse the cover of ebooks.

In my opinion, it is a tie between the Kindle and the Barnes and Noble. But if you may travel and you enjoy reading during your trip, you should go for the Kindle for sure. Moreover, I trust the Kindle will come up next to some strategies very soon, like improving their lend book function. The Kindle is the biggest player in the ereader market right now, and I believe it will put big effort to hold its position.

I recommend this article as well, it is the best review on ebook readers I've ever read:

I'll say the Kindle 2 instead of Sony Reader. Read here to know more:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…

I own the Kindle 2 and I like it severely much. It is better than Sony Reader because Amazon provide good content support, and the number of books available in Kindle format is kept on increasing (right now within are 300,000 Kindle books). Sony Reader, however, many users complain that it is difficult to find suitable books, and books on it are more expensive than the Kindle. Other benefits of the Kindle over Sony Reader include the free wireless internet access, and the text-to-speech function.

If you need to read PDF with charts and graphics, you may want to shift for the Kindle DX. Read this review and you should be able to decide which one to get:

And between the Nook and the Kindle, I'll still shift for the Kindle because it has a web browser which can make well brought-up use of the free wireless. It is so much convenient, and it is not present on the Nook...

Hope this helps. Source(s): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015TC… (Kindle DX)
