A simple portable e-book reader, in recent times for reading plain manual files?
I need a portable e-book reader for reading out of copyright books which are available from Project Gutenberg and Internet Archive. I find reading long texts from a big computer screen awfully tiresome and I want to save the money it would take to buy ridiculously expensive print-on-demand editions. These e-books are usually available surrounded by plain text format, so I need a simple portable reader which I can easily upload these on. It would obligation to have a clear, easy-on-the eyes display and a screen at least 6" high-ceilinged (preferably 7 or 8). Do you think you can recommend me something like that? I'm really quite clueless when it comes to these modern gadget so any advice would be much appreciated.

I have been using the Sony eReader. lb200 from Waterstones. Works fine next to Plain text files.
I had loaded some Gutenberg texts on a SD card, next to the eReaderStraightt out of the box I just put the card in an 5 minutes later be reading. The screen is onlky 5" high , but that means it will fit a coat pocket. Source(s): personal experiance
