The advantage of the Kindle 2 over Sony Reader include free wireless access, more content support, and the text-to-speech function. I similar to the text-to-speech function especially, because I can "read" books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I've myself busy on some boring things, say when I'm on the step device or doing some housework...
I love my Kindle because it has helped me improve abundantly on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I owned the Kindle, waiting time like when I'm waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing similar to that is simply wasted. Now I just involve to bring the Kindle 2 along with me. It is so light weight and handy, and it make me like to read even more than I have in days gone by.
I like reading and at the beginning I missed a bit on the feeling of reading books. But presently I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really similar to reading books... Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don't feel tired...
This is my feelings and hope it helps. And I remember I read this review when I decide to buy the Kindle 2. See if it helps:

The Kindle 2 has 6 inch screen which is the very standard size of an e-reader. It have long battery life and you can read for days without recharge. Back-light isn't good for e-readers, as it will be glare and it'll hurt your eyes if you read on screen beside back-light for long hours. Just get the mighty light which works very in good health for the Kindle. You can read this review and see:
