Rabbit nesting after 5 weeks of kindling and not rebred?
Okay, our Netherland Dwarf doe is balling up fur, straw and anything else she can find and placing it in her box. She has 5 week old kit with her already and to our knowledge she was not rebred and within really hasn't been any chance that she was rebred. Anybody know??

Sometimes rabbits step into a mother mode and they feel like they have to build another or more nests. This also could be a sign that she is prepared to have more babies. If this is the case, let her engender the other nest. Most likely she won't have more babies, but if she does she will be ready. You will know if she is pregnant if she stops kindly for the other kits. I wouldn't worry to much. This happens adjectives the time. Just let her do what she thinks is best and both of you will end up blissful.
