Amazon Kindle Owners: Question in connection with Screen?
Is reading the Kindle screen anything like a regular computer screen next to regard to glare or brightness or more like a book? When I use the computer to read for any length of time, it other triggers a migraine. I'm hoping the Kindle screen is different. I've researched all I can online and still can't find an answer to this. Is the display screen jammy on the eyes like a regular book or is it more like a computer screen? Thanks.

What sort of monitor are you using? A flat blind monitor is a lot easier on the eye than the old types that had profusely of glare.
I found this is a comparison review between the kindle and Sony ebook reader: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22317495/
I think it answers your question.
I use a Pocket PC as my ebook reader of choice. It have a backlight, I can read any format of choice using it, I can connect to the net with it, etc. The screen is small though, but since I can adjust the size of the font, to be exact a non-issue. The screen is not "glary" either.
Good luck!

Why are the electronic books (Kindle, etc) so expensive?
I would have expected this to come out at least 5 years ago and at a quarter the price. A Kindle costs as much as an iPhone and beyond displaying B+W text does little else. I am not aphorism that it should, but I would expect it to be cheaper. Because they...
