Are Amazon Kindles full-bodied for the environment?

Are they "green," per se?
Answers:
It really depends on how much you read, and how long you plan on keeping the Kindle. It also depends on whether you buy your books new or used, or whether you borrow them from the library.

The Kindle is a fantastic green alternative to buying a new book every week.

It's really hard to put a number on this. But let say if you did nothing but sit around the house all daytime and read books. It's less of an impact to use a kindle then it is to drive to the library or order physical books online.

I'd read aloud it's good for the environment as long as you read a lot.
