Amazon kindle...Does anyone own one of these?
I love to read and I've wanted an amazon Kindle for a long time
does anyone on here own one?
can you guys give me some details about it and how do u approaching it?

I have had my kindle for 3 weeks. I purchased it thinking it would be a fun and interesting toy. I am a very avid book reader and other have a book in my hand at home. I must vote that the Kindle knocked me out. The print on the screen is very book similar to that it is hard to tell at times that there isn't a piece of printed article on the screen. I have thus far read 2 complete books on it (1 from a series I am reading) and I must say that I am truly reading faster on the kindle. Not that my reading speed has improved but because it is so much more convenient. I am also the type of person i.e. always reading three books at a time as I jump from book to book depending on what I am in the mood to read. (usually a daydream, mystery and an action/thriller) I can easily jump from book to book on a whim minus missing a beat. It also comes in handy on long car trips as my wife and I can switch books effortlessly while the other drives. The battery when fully charged has gone 5 days for me without have to be recharged. (Be sure to turn the WiFi off if you want your battery to last this long between charges)
The single down side I can think of is that the right side next page button is a little incompatible for the way I read a book. It took a few attempts to find a comfortable way to hold the kindle while I read.
