What is the english to french translation for "You kindle the fire that burns?

Answers:
Depending on the context, another way to say aloud it would be:
Vous avivez le feu qui brule.

"Tu allumes le feu qui br^ule", I would assume.

EDIT: No requirement to use the article "vous" here - it's not like you would say something like that to someone you scarcely know and in a polite fashion, is it? Some folks, I swear...
Tu allumes mon feu..qui brule..en moi..
Vous allumez le feu qui br^ule

Actually, if I was saying something like this to my girlfriend, I might certainly use 'vous' for that - it can be perceived as kind of a all-desiring-presiding-can't-live-withou… kind of statement. I'm not really quite sure how to explain it =] But it's extraordinarily French, and we use it all the time.

If you're learning how to speak French out of a textbook, then please, don't try to interject what you don't know. You can't other take the "standard definition" and apply it to real life =)

That anyone said, you not going to speak like this all the time. It's really up to you which subject pronoun to use. Source(s): Fluent Speaker, Lived in Amiens Most of My Life
