Will Kindle book hardware come down surrounded by price?

Once people and publishers realize that they will sell more books by doing it electronically, will the price of device such as Kindle come down in price?

Right immediately there's no way I would ever pay what they are asking. I'd rather buy the book.

Amazon merely slashed the price of the Kindle 2 last month, so I don't think there will be any further price down, at lowest possible within this year. You know, even for used Kindle 1 which is launched for nearly 2 years, it is still selling at $200, as you can see here...

Just in travel case you don't know, there are quite a lot of books which are free on the Kindle. I've bought abundantly of books on my Kindle too, and they are much cheaper than actual books. I got my Kindle 2 a few months ago, and I think the money it helped me to recover on buying books has already covered half of the price of the device itself. So it is really worth to consider buying one. I've mentioned more about this surrounded by another question here:
