Why would I want a Kindle instead of a Pocket PC?

Both can be purchased for around the same price but you can do more with a Pocket PC.

I see the Kindle is basically a reader device, where the power of the image has been enhanced to be comparable to a book instead of close to reading off of a computer. If you've ever read on a computer for a long period of time,it can be hard on the eyes.

Kindle is street light, lighter than a paperback, which is true about a pocket pc as well, but it's shape lend itself better to reading for long periods. Also, the Kindle doesn't need to be connected to a computer/internet to access the Amazon Kindle books online- you can be anywhere and get a book instantly. And books are much smaller amount expensive using the Kindle. Source(s): http://www.squidoo.com/Kindle-OprahsFavorite
Your comparing apples and oranges. A Kindle is a dedicated e-reader and not a computer. A pocket PC is a mini computer. They own very different functions.
