How righteous or unpromising is Amazon's ebook reader...The Kindle?

I don't own one, but I've seen a few on the train, and I was really impressed by the eyeshade quality. it was very unforced on my eyes, and I hate reading on screen.
as to the functionality, someone who owns it would answer better. but I'd get one if I could.
I love my Kindle.
I wasn't sure at first. I wanted one originally out of book-nerdiness. But now that I have it, I am amazed at how much I use it.
It's uncomplicated to read, it holds a lot of books, there are many books available, I can read anything that I already enjoy on my computer, I can read magazines and newspapers (before they come out in composition sometimes) and it has a nice long battery life.
The down sides are that you can't share books you buy at Amazon. It's pricey. And it's a bit slow.
If you have the money, and you read a lot of books and magazines, it's worth it. If it's a key expense for you, and you don't read at least a couple of books a month, it's an extravagance. Source(s): http://kindlefan.blogspot.com
I am in love with my Kindle. It's so easy to read, even contained by bright sunlight, and the interface is very intuitive and easy.
It's so cool to be sitting at lunch and hear about a modern book and be able to have it right before your eyes inwardly 2 minutes.
Don't know if the promo is still available, but when I got mine, I was able to amass $50 by using OPRAH as the promo code.
I freshly got one and it's fabulous. It was perfect for a long airplane ride I took this week. It appears to own been developed by readers or "real" people vs computer geeks. Highly recommended.
