Questions in the order of the Amazon: Kindle?
First of all I'm a 14 year-old kid and my parents might get me one of these for Christmas. So what exactly kinds of books are available on this device? Is it first and foremost focused around adult-like books or would it have young-adult non-fiction fantasy type books too? And secondly does it have a backlight for nighttime reading? May appear like a dumb question but I think I hear somewhere it doesn't have a backlight so yeah.

But, as next to all genres, the selection is constrained. To get an idea how many books of your genre are available, be in motion to the Kindle section of Amazon and browse their books.
It does not have a backlight. It looks exactly like a book, so it's effortless on the eyes. Backlit screens tend to get tiring to read.
You can get a pallid attachment, that works much like a book light attachment. Source(s): http://kindlefan.blogspot.com
