Where can a download free kindle books that are modern and not in recent times classics?
i just got a kindle and i've been looking at sites where on earth you can get free eBooks but all the sites I've found only own classic novels. I was looking for one that would have books such as A great and shocking beauty,the alchemyst, etc.

Modern books are still copyrighted and cannot be given away without the author/publisher's permission. Some authors will allow some of their books to be distributed for free as a teaser for then books in a series. If you like sci-fi or fantasy, Baen have a free library that quite a few authors have contributed to. Also, Amazon periodically offers some books for free (for a controlled time), presumably on the same premise. Go to the Kindle Store and sort books by price from low to high to find these.

Most authors can't afford to give away their books for free. So some pirates steal them.
