When is Amazon going to produce a Kindle near a color eyeshade?
Having a Kindle for school would be awesome, but with out color, reading some textbooks would be difficult- i.e. color graphs

I don't think this will happen contained by the near future either. The peak of the Kindle is designed for reading comfort, and it is different from those screens on our cell phones or computers. There isn't color support for the e-ink screen of the Kindle yet.
However, I do give attention to the Kindle DX is great for school right now, for the size, content support, and eliminating the hefty textbook weights. I've mentioned more about textbooks on the Kindle here:

The Kindle, and all other e-readers that I am aware of use "e-ink" technology. This allows the books to read similar to paper and prevents eye strain like you might get from reading a computer or cell phone eyeshade for long amounts of time. This is actually quite advanced technology, and, unfortunately, a color e-ink will probably not be available surrounded by quite a while. Source(s): Kindle 2 Owner
I don't deduce it will happen soon. The Kindle DX is just launched for two months, and it will at tiniest be next year for launching a new version. But for the foreign version, they may have other enhancement and don't necessarily adopt the color blind.

I come up with it can be a long road. Right now the Kindle uses the electronic ink technology for comfort of reading. They need to deliver similar reading experience with color blind, and I think it may need some breakthrough on the technology.
Our eyes won't hurt even for long hours of reading with the Kindle. But when we read next to computer color screen for longer hours, it is no good to our eyes. I think e-readers stipulation to use a different technology from computer screen...
