I was just looking at a Kindle or Kindle 2 to buy. What are the pros and cons? Do you have to pay cheque per book? Should I get a Kindle cover?

Yes, you need to pay per books unless accounts are free or in the public domain. I will say a cover is a must. At least you can hold on to its good look and sell at a better price when you are upgrading to another new ebook reader within the future. As you know, the used Kindle 1 is still selling at over $200.
The differences between the kindle and the kindle 2 are: Kindle 1 has bigger next and spinal column page buttons, the cursor on kindle 1 is a wheel whereas on the kindle 2 there is a joystick. The design of the kindle 2 is flat and round whereas the kindle 1 is thick and toothed. The kindle 1 is selling for $240 on amazon whereas the kindle 2 is selling for $359. There is also free books on amazon you can get for the kindle by putting "-domain" contained by the search bar in the kindle store category they verbs up hundreds of free kindle books you can receive. Most new books can be bought for the kindle about a week after they are released. I am purchasing a cover when i order my kindle 2 that bearing it can stay in a protector when i'm not using it. The reason i didn't buy the kindle 1 was because i never buy first classmates electronics i wait til they improve the product before i purchase.
