Any view when the kindle will come out cheaper and how much it will be?
I really want the kindle but 300 bucks is a lot. Any idea when it will come out cheaper and if so how much?

I don't think it will for Kindle 2. Normally Amazon will just cut the price for once, just approaching the Kindle 1. They will release a newer version then, but it should just be matching price as the Kindle 2 or may even be more expensive (like the Kindle DX).
It is said that the cost of a Kindle is around $189. So there isn't really much margin for them to cut the price further...

It just have a price cut last month, so I don't think it will drop in price again... Just similar to the Kindle 1, it was sold throughout the end of 2007 to the start of 2009, and the price is dropped once only, from $399 to $359.
Actually the Kindle is already selling for $60 cheaper than the price I bought mine. I do imagine it is worth though even at the price I bought it. I'll recommend you to read this article from a top reviewer, it outlines a lot of benefits of the Kindle and you may decide if it is worth to you:
