How can i fix my kindle 3?

I turned it off one night and next went to turn it on the next morning and it started loading the domestic page and then froze, so its stuck between the svreen saver and the domestic page. I tried the hard reset and it didnt work. I can see down at the bottom where it say the page number and can turn the page but i cant see anything cuz its covered by the screen saver. Any guidance?
