IN a nutshell, what is Kindle 2?

It lets you buy digital books and reporters from Amazon.com and then read them on it, wirelessly (it uses a cell phone modem inside it to access Amazon and do the downloads and purchasing). So you aren't getting a real book, but you can read its pages on the Kindle 2. You can also access some stuff for free close to Wikipedia, but not the whole Internet.
It's probably only a good purchase if you buy lots of books already and don't mind not have real books around.
