Anyone out here hold an Amazon Kindle 2?

I was thinking of asking my husband to get one for me for my birthday in May. How do you approaching it? Is it really easy to read from? Can you get most books? How much money do you save on books?
Answers:
For the ebooks, check the bestsellers and you can compare the price.

I'll suggest to check the actual customer reviews of people owning Kindle 2 up to that time making up your decision:

I own one and I love it. No glitches so far at all. Yes, Kindle books are cheaper and I've read probably 6 books since I got it and it has perform flawlessly. They used a technology for the screen which makes the feel of reading terribly much like reading a book. My eyes do not tired even after some long hours of reading. And I can store all my favorite books into this single device, and carry them along beside me no matter I go anywhere.

I own one and I close to it very much. It is lightweight and trendy looking, and I like to bring it everywhere. I like the paper to speech function very much too, it is wonderful that I can "read" books with my eyes and hands free up for other things.

As you should know, Kindle books are cheaper than actual books. There have been some calculation coming out that if you purchased 70 Kindle books, the money saved on books can cover the cost of the actual Kindle reader already.

I'll suggest you to read some review and what actual customers are wise saying to make up your decision:
