Amazon Kindle: How immense can you set the font size?

I'm thinking of getting on for my grandma, because she can't see well and has been buying special "substantial font" books.

I read somewhere that the font is adjustable. Can anyone who owns one give me an idea of how adjustable it is, and how large it can be?

I merely grabbed a ruler and it seems about a quarter inch contained by height for its largest size. I also found this picture...

... but note the picture is a little bigger than the actual blind on the kindle. After a little more digging (see link below, which has more info on Kindle for low sight people), the size is equivalent to a 20 point font, which seems about right.
