I think it will some time, but even Amazon never give us any hint on that.
But if you are outside the United States, the best benefit of the Kindle that it have wireless access everywhere vanishes. I'll suggest the Sony reader. Lots of people vote for it over Kindle for better PDF support and touchscreen function.
