Question nearly a Kindle 2. Can this be done?
Hi!... I have tons and tons of books, many of them in foreing language and are out of print, but love them to death, but I also relocate and travel a lot, so, I keep packing them, putting them on storage and consequently unpacking them to place them in a new home.... and story never ends, it is so hard to pick only just a couple of them to take on my trips...
So it seems that my next purchase would be the lovely Kindle 2, I know that would be adjectives for not buy paper books that use space and gather dust from now on... but what to do next to the ones I already have?...
I wonder if I could somehow, scan them and convert them on PDF or whatever program Kindle accepts and I don`t know... would be able to have them all on my Kindle and market the physical books, since I cant keep moving around a whole heavy library....
Can this be done.... does anyone know this? could u please furnish me any ideas?

That can conspicuously be done. Kindle can handle a variety of format, plus you can always convert different formats to Kindle familiar format. The time consuming part will be to scan all your books however.

Personally, I reason it might be best to wait just a little while longer. Looks similar to the next version might be enough better to be worth the linger. And if it's not, then the price on this one will drop a lot when the next one comes out anyway.
I'm a Kindle 2 owner, and I've some personal photos and documents transferred to the Kindle without problem. Just that I think it will be a long-drawn-out process for you to scan all your books to graphics or PDF. Note that Kindle cannot handle PDF, but once you have PDF you can convert it to Kindle format for free. Below are the extract from Kindle 2 sale page for the steps:
