Can I buy a Kindle outside the US?
I live in the UK and would like to buy a Kindle. Amazon will not ship it outside the US - what can I do?

The only thing you can do is wait until Amazon's UK division/affiliate have it.
If you manage to get an American Kindle into the UK, chances are you will know how to use is, since it relies on Whispernet to load content, which might not be available in the UK, not to mention that it will be tied to Amazon US, and you may not be able to buy like mad of titles from another country.
Amazon does not ship outside the US, but that doesn't mean you can't buy it :)
You can use a packet forwarding service like usonestop.com, they'll buy it for you with an american credit card and ship it to the UK.
The Kindle relies on Whisper-net (a cellular network) to transfer content, so you will not be capable of purchase content online through the Kindle. However, you can purchase content and transfer it via USB !
