If I take the kindle on my iphone as an app can paperwork be read to me approaching if I purchased kindle II? Thanks!?

Answers:
You can open the ebook on the iPhone, but there will not be the text-to-speech function. Only Kindle 2 has such function so far. You can find some apt review about this here:

Note that there are quite abundantly of people complaining about the small screen size, discomfort for long reading, no wireless access and no access of Kindle store for instant download of books and journalists when reading on iPhone. If you only use the device for reading occasionally then it should be fine. But if you'll use it for reading often after it is the best bet to buy the Kindle 2. You'll definitely feel a big difference on the reading experience.

In case you'll consider to buy the Kindle, the actual customer review on Amazon should be the best place for you to explore. It is the most informative place and you should know how to make up your decision there:

How and where on earth do I copy PRC ebooks to a Kindle Reader using a USB cable?
Someone I know wants to know how to transfer ebooks she got from a free site (yes, they are legit and outdated novels out of copyright). There are no DRM issues either and all the ebooks are minus restrictions and in the PRC file format.
