When you want to start a bonfire, why do you use tons small sticks as kindling to start the larger logs?

Answers:
Kindling is small, logs are big. You would get the fire going with a hotter fire sooner near the smaller kindling. Peace
Imagine the flame size from a match, compare that to the size of the small sticks you use for kindling. That flame is pretty large compared to it, therefor it will insubstantial it very easily. If you use that same sized flame on larger logs, it would not light it unless you held the flame near for a long time. Instead, the smaller sticks light very quickly, creating a larger flame than a game can provide to light the larger logs.
To get the fire burning!*
Because they catch fire faster. You can't merely stick a match on a big log and expect it to ignite.
Well because if you use large logs first it would be more difflicult to start the fire and the kindling use as a smaller fire to start a bigger fire and second if you use large logs to start a fire it would probably spread out the undamaged logs like it would with smaller kindlings
smaller sticks make more kenetic energy or in other words they find hotter and burn faster quicker...
