Is it possible to put workbook books on a Kindle?
I am going to college in the fall and heard more or less the Amazon Kindle. Does the place where you buy the books to download include text books? It would be awesome if I didnt enjoy to carry around 80 pounds of books with me every day

Yes, provided that the textbook is available in Kindle format.
I'm a college students too. I found some textbooks are available contained by Kindle while some don't. It already saves me from carrying some heavy weight though. Right presently there are over 270,000 available in Kindle format, and you better search for the textbook titles here (or check near the textbook publishers if you know) to check whether it is available in Kindle format or not.

I bought the Kindle 2 not only because I can use it to carry some textbook, but because it is so convenient that I can bring my favorite books along beside me in the handy device, and it helps utilizing my time. Now, I just pick the Kindle out whenever I've some spare time contained by between lessons, events, when I'm waiting for my friends, etc. I like the text-to-speech especially, it allows me to "read" when I'm on the step machine... or anything else as it hang on to my eyes and hands free.
I'll say it is a must have if you approaching to read quite a lot. I've also read a good article previously on how to procure the most out of the initial investment of the Kindle 2, see if you find it helpful:

Some textbooks are availble for the Kindle while some don't. If you are considering to buy one, I'll say the best place to check is the actual customer review on Amazon. It is the best and most informative place for opinion from actual users. Read one or two reviews there and you should be able to make up your choice:
